Some weddings just feel easy in the best possible way. Ben and Kelly’s Pasadena wedding was one of those days—full of calm moments, meaningful conversations, and the kind of joy that never feels forced.
From the beginning, their vision was clear. They wanted a wedding that felt elegant, timeless, and meaningful, without losing the relaxed atmosphere that makes a day truly enjoyable. Nothing overly trendy or staged—just a beautiful celebration centered around faith, family, and the commitment they were making to each other.
Their style was classy and understated, with thoughtful details
Pasadena was the perfect setting for it all. With its historic architecture, garden spaces, and soft Southern California light, the city naturally lends itself to weddings that feel romantic and timeless. Ben and Kelly leaned into that beauty rather than competing with it. Their style was classy and understated, with thoughtful details that complemented the setting—soft, true-to-color florals, elegant attire, and a spiritual ceremony that reflected their shared values.
The day began with a peaceful morning getting ready with close friends and family, followed by an emotional ceremony at Holy Family Church. Afterward, everyone gathered at The Athenaeum at Caltech, one of Pasadena’s most iconic and historic venues, for portraits and the evening celebration.

Behind the scenes, an incredible vendor team helped the day run smoothly. Planning by HoneyFitz Events ensured everything flowed effortlessly from one moment to the next. The elegant floral design by Phyllis Hillier Floral Designsadded a classic touch that complemented the venue beautifully, while hair and makeup by Veil of Grace created a polished, natural look that photographed beautifully in true-to-color imagery.
As the evening unfolded, guests enjoyed cocktail hour before moving into the reception where JME N’Demand kept the energy high with live music that carried the celebration late into the night. The result was a wedding that felt joyful, relaxed, and deeply personal from beginning to end.
It was the kind of day that reminds you what weddings are really about—two people surrounded by the people who love them most, beginning the next chapter of their lives together.
