Jake and Zoe’s Santa Ynez Ranch wedding is one I wanted to share more of. The white florals, soft green stationery, and classic black-and-white attire looked so beautiful together. But what I love most is how much of them comes through in the photos—the smiles, the way they look at each other, and all of those moments that make a wedding feel personal.
White florals and sage-green wedding details
The details felt connected without everything looking exactly the same. Sage-green paper goods, white roses, and pearl-trimmed shoes set a soft tone for the day, while the surfboard-inspired seating chart added something personal. I love photographing these pieces before the day gets busy. They help bring you back to all the little choices that went into it.

Getting ready with Zoe and her bridesmaids
There was so much to photograph before the ceremony even began. Zoe and her bridesmaids gathered outside in their robes, glasses raised, before she stepped into her dress. The mirror portraits are some of my favorites from this part of the day. Her hair, the shape of the gown, and those lace sleeves were beautiful in the window light.

A first look and time together at Santa Ynez Ranch
I love the little pause a first look gives a couple. Zoe reached for Jake’s shoulder, and then it was just the two of them, taking each other in. We made time for portraits along the garden paths, too. Some photographs are quiet, some are playful, and together they tell so much more than one perfectly posed frame.

Wedding party portraits with movement and personality
The wedding party photos had plenty of energy. We photographed everyone together, then let the group move, cheer, and walk across the lawn. Those in-between frames are such a good reminder that portraits can still feel like you. I want couples to have the photographs their families will frame, and the ones that make them laugh when they look back.

An outdoor ceremony framed by white flowers
Rows of wooden chairs and low arrangements of white flowers framed the outdoor ceremony space. The open view beyond the aisle gave the setting room to breathe. I photographed the space before guests filled it, then stayed focused on Jake and Zoe and the people watching them. The black-and-white ceremony photographs bring the attention right back to those expressions and embraces.

Dinner on the lawn and a candlelit reception
The reception brought everyone together outside beneath the trees and string lights. White flowers spilled across the front of Jake and Zoe’s sweetheart table, with guests gathered at tables nearby. I love seeing the same setting change through a wedding day—from the afternoon light on the lawn to candles and glowing lights after dark.

These are the moments I want a wedding gallery to hold onto: the look across the table, the people raising their glasses, and the feeling of being surrounded by everyone who came to celebrate. My approach is to keep the photographs natural and true to color, while making room for black-and-white frames when the emotion or light calls for it.

Wedding cake and a full dance floor
The celebration carried into the evening with cake, music, and a full dance floor. Jake and Zoe shared a kiss beside their tiered cake, and the party kept going both inside and out. I love ending a gallery with this part of the day. After the portraits and the ceremony, you get to see everyone let go and enjoy it.
